for those in the path of katrina

A Prayer to the Goddess for those in the path of Katrina

Freya, Great Goddess, Mother of us all, she who has many names
It is I, Mira, your Priestess, who sends you this prayer
Spare as many of your children in the path of Your Storm as you will
For as you give life, you also bring death, which we all will face in our time
For those who will not be spared, guide their Spirits to the Summerlands

You are the Goddess of Water, and we, your Witches do not deny your Might
We know that balance must be achieved on Your Earth, so such storms are necessary,
And that balance means Your Storms will strike at their will,
For each storm has its own Spirit, it is born, grows, and dies
Just as the Circle of Life Eternally Turns

Great Goddess, Lady Freya, be merciful to all those in the path of Katrina,
Grant mercy to all of your children, regardless of the number of legs they walk on
Send your Valkyries to guide the Spirits of those who will not be spared
Gently guide them to the Summerlands where their Spirits may rest
So May it Be!

Blessed Be!

a slow start

I know this site is getting off to a slow start, but I'm working on personalizing the template. Be patient, and more will come.

Welcome to The Oubliette's Alcove

This is a little niche I've managed to carve out of my main blog, The Oubliette. This site will be more focused on the Wiccan/Pagan aspects of my life. It will contain my thoughts, musings, observations, meditations, and anything else I want to post here. It is not my intention to be offensive to anyone. If I by accident insult anyone, please let me know. I wish this to be a place of peace and harmony. I will never deliberatly insult another's religion. Poke some good natured fun at, yes, including my own. After all, Laughter is something we all share. We all can use a good laugh, share in some good-natured humor. If you are offended by Wicca or Paganism in general, I suggest you head back over to The Oubliette.

Otherwise, all are welcome. Those with questions, feel free to ask them. Merry part and meet again!

Blessed Be!
